At the beginning of Good Food Month in late October, we were treated to some fantastic food, ping-pong and cocktail frivolity at Andrew McConnell’s iconic Supernormal restaurant in Flinders Lane.
A collaboration between Supernormal’s talented chefs and bao queen May Chow and some of her crew from Little Bao Hong Kong, the night spurned a veritable feast of Supernormal’s lobster rolls, Chow’s incredible Drunken Chicken Bao, raw scallops with black bean ponzu and yakitori grilled chicken hearts, to name but a few of the delicacies. The night was capped off by an amazing ping-pong tournament featuring Olympic ping-pong champion Melissa Tapper!
