Gourmet Cinema kicks off this week with a GRAM giveaway

Forget the mystery yellow popcorn, mostly-soda water-post-mix Coke and that cinema hotdog that looks so old it could legally buy itself a drink in a bar, what you deserve with your film-watching experience is a divine cocktail served up with delicious dishes whipped up by Melbourne’s best restaurants. Think beyond Gold Class.

Well, Gourmet Cinema kicks off this week from Thursday, 1 March at Caulfield Racecourse with the movie Chef presented by Collingwood’s Mexican restaurant amigo of the moment, Hotel Jesus.

Gourmet Cinema will run until March 11 with tickets starting at $22.50 with Happy Hour kicking off at 6pm.

The movie/menu and cocktail line-up this year features:

  • Chef presented by Hotel Jesus with Cubanos & Cola cocktail
  • Little Miss Sunshine presented by Jimmy Grants with The Road Trip cocktail
  • Top Gun presented by Benny Burger with Dangerzone cocktail
  • Sideways presented by Uncle with Pinot on the Rocks cocktail
  • Before Midnight presented by Hellenic Republic with The Time Traveller cocktail
  • La La Land presented by Uncle with Tinseltown cocktail
  • The Lost Boys presented by Benny Burger with Vampire Bites cocktail
  • Vicky Cristina Barcelona presented by Mamasita with When in Barcelona…cocktail

Check out the website for bookings, tickets and all the things.

Best of all, the Gourmet Cinema  champs have given GRAM readers the chance to win 2 x double passes to any of the sessions. To be in the running, jump on GRAM’s Facebook page (make sure you like us, right?) and write one blitzer of a sentence of 20 words or fewer describing why you deserve to be treated like a screen goddess/god. Winners announced 12pm, Wednesday, February 28.
