MFWF Event Preview: Are you Game?

Are you Game? for a taste trip from Farm to Table with Fowles Wine…?

This year, to celebrate their victory as ‘Victoria’s Best Tourism Winery’ for three years running, Fowles Wine will be hosting their 2015 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) event at their Cellar Door on Saturday 28 February.

The newly refurbish event space, The Wine Shed, will be transformed into a rustic banqueting hall and the team will be stepping back in time to re-create the feel and flavours of a traditional hunt feast with their regional food producing friends…After all, everything old is new again!

With a dress theme of a touch of tweed, you’ll enjoy sparkling wine and canapés in the courtyard, live music, old school garden games, food demonstrations and prizes for the best dressed.

Having worked up an appetite, you’ll sit down to a two course lunch featuring delicious retro dishes whose ingredients are sourced from local farmers and producers all served with award winning Fowles Wine. Their best producers will present about the flavours behind the feast for all to celebrate their talents and commitment to provenance.

After lunch, auctioneer supremos the Fowles family will wield the hammer on exclusive lots to raise funds for neuroendocrine cancer charity The Unicorn Foundation.

And then there will be a surprise announcement… The Fowles team tell us they can’t say a lot but assure us that it’s big! What they can tell us is that MFWF guests will be the first to experience what they launch. Fowles Wines will also be launching their new flagship limited edition Ladies who Shoot their Lunch poster and giving guests a special memento of this wild event that has been designed by two creatives from Berlin and Los Angeles…More details on this to be released later!
